Our first training course “Out the Shadow” came to its end! How did we spend the last day?! Full on! Hey, hey! Our training course “Out The Shadow” is getting closer to its climax - final performance! Here is what happened on Day 6! We have tried creating the mini sketches in black light theatre utilising various techniques we have learnt in the previous days, as a result ‘Africana” and “Asiana” came to light! “Out The Shadow” training course continues and here is what happened on day 5! First of all, we dived into exploring the elements of shadow theatre with different objects telling a story which mattered to us based on poetry and fragility. Later on, we tested the usage of plastic materials and learnt about the potential of ephemeral and delicate plastic objects when using them in the black light theatre. Finally, we have created balloon puppets and designed sketches with them

“Out The Shadow” and during the 3d day of the training participants explored the power of mime and practiced their miming skills which will become the base of the black light theatre. Also, we focused on choreography, creating the sketches of still pictures and working on the precision of movement. Finally, we started to work with the masks and gloves ! As a result, we created the sketches with them using the black light theatre approach. The project is co-funded by the Erasm

Day 4 of our training course “Out The Shadow”! We were working on the creation of visual form using hands only - it’s really important to focus on the small details when working with the light! Self-organisation, creativity and synchronisation in the group were the core! We learnt how to depict things out of the box and be able to show anything on stage with minimum resources!

Here we come with some photos from day 2 of our training course “Out The Shadow!” Participants explored the basics of puppets in black light theatre - they created their paper puppets and made small sketches with them! Besides that, they dived into the basics physical theatre, getting comfortable with performing and managing their bodies on stage telling the stories. Exciting news! The first training course “Introduction to the Black Light Theatre” of “Out the Shadow” project has started! The training has gathered participants from 4 partner countries - Poland, Lithuania, Portugal and Italy. The day 1 of our training course was focused on building a safe learning environment , getting to know each other better and starting to feel comfortable in the group. Also, we already did some theatrical warmups and activities. Stay tuned for more ne
