About us
Out the Shadow is an international initiative utilizing Black Light Theatre (BLT) as a tool for social inclusion. The project equips youth workers, educators, and young people with skills to incorporate BLT into educational and social programs. By applying BLT’s artistic techniques, it fosters an inclusive and expressive environment that transcends language and cultural barriers.
The project combines practical and digital learning methods to ensure effective knowledge transfer and skill development. Workshops and training courses provide hands-on experience in BLT techniques, while an online MOOC platform offers tutorials, podcasts, and theoretical content. International exchanges encourage collaboration and adaptation of BLT methods across different cultural contexts. Community performances and events use BLT to promote social messages and active engagement.
The project aims to establish a structured methodology for integrating Black Light Theatre into youth work and education. A dedicated MOOC platform will provide accessible training, and a comprehensive manual will serve as a key resource for implementing BLT in social inclusion programs. Through local and international events, the project will showcase the effectiveness of BLT in fostering inclusive communication. By raising awareness and broadening adoption of BLT techniques, Out the Shadow seeks to create meaningful, long-term change in educational and community settings.
