Images and objects

In this tutorial, we would like to present an exercise focused on coordinating movement and visual illusion in black light theatre. The video demonstrates how performers manipulate visible elements on a dark stage so that they appear to move independently. By carefully controlling timing, positioning, and gestures, the performers create a clear visual sequence while remaining hidden from the audience.

This activity highlights one of the core principles of black light theatre, where performers dressed in black work in a dark environment while illuminated objects or props become the main focus of the scene. Because black clothing blends into the background under these lighting conditions, the audience perceives only the visible elements, creating the illusion that objects move or transform on their own.
