Episode 10: Learning by Doing: Black Light Theatre in Non-Formal Education

This episode connects black light theatre with the core principles of non-formal learning. Participants do not merely receive information; they experiment with light, objects, movement, timing and group composition, observe the results, make adjustments and reflect on what happened. This cycle supports learner-centred practice, co-creation and responsibility for both the artistic process and the learning environment. Alongside theatre skills, young people develop collaboration, patience, self-regulation, negotiation and shared meaning-making. The episode stresses that reflection is essential: a visually engaging activity becomes an educational method when facilitators intentionally connect action with learning about communication, the group, the chosen theme and participants' own experience.
